It is almost embarassing, and most likely not even a question unique to the TB platform, but I have to believe that a CF-29 owner out there has sorted this, and will show mercy, and just lend a hand.
When I plug my iphone into the CF-29 via its USB port, it is not recognized, or, at least the usual thing that happens on other laptops or desktops doesn't happen.
How do I go about downloading, or backing up in a sense items or images off the iphone?
I did do a search for iphone in this forum, and didn't seem to find a thread on topic. I'm guessing its such an obvious thing that most of you take it for granted.

I don't have an iphone but, arn't most things "Apple" managed thru itunes? Try installing itunes and see what happens.

Your iphone should come up as a digital camera though. Even without bloody itunes. You can dump shots and vids off your photos folder.

I just loaded a CF29 MK5 with the XP sp2 recovery disc and it found the iphone and opened up the scanner and camera wizard. No software needed. It sounds like a usb port or cable issue.
What OS are you running? What is your complete model number? -
I will try to list my OS and full serial number. These are not things I'm sure of how to find, right now I'm about to hit the garage, figured out a missing link in a a project, and have to put the TB into use for the reason I bought it...
Will update this thread asap, do need to get the iphone up and running so I can do downloads of images and movies. I will eventually put itunes on, but for different reasons, more to manage photos. Will offer up the OS and model in hopes someone has some suggestions. Thanks so far. -

Also, what Service Pack number has been applied to the Operating System (should be XP Pro).
