It is almost embarassing, and most likely not even a question unique to the TB platform, but I have to believe that a CF-29 owner out there has sorted this, and will show mercy, and just lend a hand.

When I plug my iphone into the CF-29 via its USB port, it is not recognized, or, at least the usual thing that happens on other laptops or desktops doesn't happen.

How do I go about downloading, or backing up in a sense items or images off the iphone?

I did do a search for iphone in this forum, and didn't seem to find a thread on topic. I'm guessing its such an obvious thing that most of you take it for granted.

Your iphone should come up as a digital camera though. Even without bloody itunes. You can dump shots and vids off your photos folder.

I just loaded a CF29 MK5 with the XP sp2 recovery disc and it found the iphone and opened up the scanner and camera wizard. No software needed. It sounds like a usb port or cable issue.

What OS are you running? What is your complete model number?

Yes, this is what happens on other platforms.

I will try to list my OS and full serial number. These are not things I'm sure of how to find, right now I'm about to hit the garage, figured out a missing link in a a project, and have to put the TB into use for the reason I bought it...

Will update this thread asap, do need to get the iphone up and running so I can do downloads of images and movies. I will eventually put itunes on, but for different reasons, more to manage photos. Will offer up the OS and model in hopes someone has some suggestions. Thanks so far.

Model Number (such as: CF-29xxxxxxx); not "Serial Number."

Also, what Service Pack number has been applied to the Operating System (should be XP Pro).
