    Alright I'm ready to get a drive for my 29enknxkm. I don't really need a dvd but could go the extra or it. It would seem that some of the sellers don't know what or if the are selling a drive or a drive and caddy. What is the part # for the caddy I need. Are there modifications that need to be done to instal a dvd. Will the cd drive just slide in and be automatically recognized or will I need to do something else. This # is what ? caddy/drive cf vdr281u. Sorry for all the newbie ? but this is the place to ask. My 1g crucial is working well. Thanks for any help.

    Here are just a few of many part numbers used

    CF-VCD271 and CF-VCD281U cd drive
    CF-VDD281 dvd rom drive
    CF-VDR282U and CF-VDR291U dvd/cd-rw drive
    CF-VDM292U Multi drive DVD-RAM/DVD-RW/CD-RW

    CD= CD DRIVE
    DD= DVD
    DR= DVD + cd record
    DM= Multi drive dvdrw

    Those part numbers work unless the drive has been modded
    I have sold many CF-VCD271 that have been converted to Multi drive dvdrw
