    one cause of high cf-31 fan usage

    Turned on my cf-31 this a.m. and the fan started blasting. Remembered that I had gotten MS Office the day before. Checked CPU usage in Task Manager and saw that CPU usage was at 97% owing primarily to "MS Compatibility Telemetry."

    and found "Method 2" for disabling telemetry to be clearly described (rare these days) and easily implemented. CPU usage dropped like the stock market--problem solved. I don't suggest this is a new problem or solution--just new to me.
