I have used the CF-VEB272AW, the cf-VEB272A2W, I think the CF-VEB272 might work for the cf-29's, but I don't think it will work on a cf-31. On the back of these replicators they look identical and the first two have the USB 2.0 ports, since none of the units I bought had the power supply or the power port dongle hookup I just used the CF-AA1653A ac adapter to power the laptop. Hope this helps.........Driller

Panasonic made it so the 31 and 29 will share the same replicator. You will lose some of the 31's features in a 29 mount. The stuff you listed will work.

Panasonic Docking Station Port Replicator CF-VEB272A
Item condition: For parts or not working
Price: US $24.99 [ Buy It Now ]
    Shipping: FREE shipping

Don't worry about that "condition" statement, as it only means that the unit doesn't have a key, so the seller cannot test the locking capability.

If you get this and decide that you want to use the lock you can pull the lock cylinder out and have a locksmith make you a key from an Ilco LF10 key blank (the number thanks to interestingfellow :))

    CAVEAT!!!

Remember: these docking units require a power adapter with the MP205 (CF-28 style) connector, and the onboard USB is v.1.1; not v.2.0

For some reason known only to people smarter than me, the high spec 31 turns off the discrete graphics when docked. In case that's an issue for your intended 31 application. Also, hot docking is not supported on the 31.

How do you remove the lock cylinder? Is it the same as on my CF-WEB273's?

Fire-fighter to fire-fighter here it is.
Look at the lock. There should be a rolled pin showing up there somewhere that runs through the case alongside the lock. Tap the rolled pin out with an under-size punch and the lock should fall out. i think I had to help mine with a pair of channel lock pliers. Just crud build-up.
Of course it varies between brands so I will tag this with FWIW.

I may have pictures or you post some. :)

No roll pin, looks as if it has to be removed from underneath, and that looks a little hairy.

And i dont think i can get a K-tool on there LOL

    I was thinking about a Port-a-Power.
Yours is different from mine. My lock is on the right front.
I found a picture or two. Does that black L shaped piece in the back comes off with the lock in place? Looks like the release handle knob comes off then you can lift off the black piece and look to see how the lock is secured.
Blew it up (magnified it). Maybe undo the four screws, I can't see the back, pull the knob off and lock and all lift up.
    Hard to tell from photo.
Send it to me and I'll screw it up I mean fix it. Do you have a photo of yours?

    Jeff the mad tinkerer.
