    im looking for a pcmcia wireless card that i can have in the unit with the pc door closed, is there a card that works for that?

    There are a few, for example the Cisco cards that came with some CF-28s. You then need to supply an external ant. for it. Also there are some units that have an antenna bulge that is removable.
    I have seen a very few of these in older ads, reviews etc. They seldom seem to come up for sale.

    i use the 3com x-jack. but you have to open the the door when you use it.

    Gravitar has an internal mini pci card slot for sale on e-Bay right now. I think he said it fits under the touch pad.

    well its not up and running yet, but i will use it for my garage unit, mp3 player, vehicle repair manuals, etc..

    just going to use itunes or wmp for mp3, then ie or firefox, and adobe pdf reader

    It has more than enough power needed. He's not talking Visual Studio and Photoshop at the same time. Reader doesn't take all of the processing power, especially when using the lite version. Same with mp3s; get the right player and they don't take any power either. He can even use windows media player within XP if he wanted and without a problem. He can easily run both of those at the same time without a hitch.
