    Hi there,
    i have a big problem with a CF-18 mk1 ( model cf-18bhazxkm, Centrino 900 Mhz, with a digitalizer pen).

Yesterday, i tried to reinstal a Win Xp Pro in french, and during the installation, i had the message: "insert the Xp Pro cd N°2"...but i have only one cd of xp pro??
Finaly, i managed to install Xp pro, but now, i can't instal any driver ( video, mouse, sound,...), i have the same error message " this machine doesn't support"...i tried with all the differents Panasonic drivers, but no way,i can't install any driver...i have no original restore cd, only a Win xp pro standard...
    Maybe someone can help me??
Do i need a Win Tablet pc edition?
Thanks by advance, and sorry for my bad english...

If your Copy of XP was supposed to include SP3, then yes, there may be a second disc; or it may be the French Language Pack that it's looking for.

If you are CERTAIN you have a standard XP install disc, SP2 or earlier, I would try researching multilingual support at Microsoft.com.

Under any circumstances, to take full advantage of the features of your tablet/convertible PC then YES, you DO need Windows Tablet PC, preferably 2005 Ed. To be sure, look at your COA on the bottom - it should say Windows Tablet PC on it.

Unfortunately, in order to GET that, you need to get the OEM Restore Discs. MicroSoft NEVER released Tablet PC as a retail product; they only released it to OEMs and System Builders.

Other members here MAY have a line on the OEM restore discs other than the usual eBay or new at Heartland; I'll let them chime in as they see fit.

Based on your model you have a touchscreen model. It means xp prof is the right OS. Just make sure you have a right drivers for MK1 model then extract all of them manually using winrar..winrar again. Good Luck

    Vous nous confondez!

You stated that you have a digitizer pen, and I beleve based on your model # that you have a touchscreen stylus

    Use winRar to unextract

Read this thread post #58 for driver order
