HEY
Been a while, I've been working ungodly hours for the last 3 months!
I haven't forgotten about a few friends here, whom I owe![]()
I did a quick search for "cursor center screen" and came up with little....
Problem: cf29 htbm off amazon (don't want to hear it, I know, but the price was good) about 6 months ago. It's been running fine, touchscreen and everything, BUT, just recently, the cursor moves back to the center of the screen as soon as you release it from the screen. It also jumps around, and jumps back when using the touchpad. I have advised my sister's boyfriend (who has the laptop) to use a toothpick to clean the screen and touchpad bezels, but to no avail (he may or may not have done it correctly/thoroughly, but he's 900miles away right now, so I can't do it personally). I don't believe it to be a ts issue, as calibration is spot on, and it only jumps around when using the touchpad.
Thoughts?

Sounds like a PS/2 Mouse issue I had.
1. Any other serial devices connected?
2. Go into bios and do the default thing.
3. Re-install touchpad/touchscreen in mice and other pointing devices.
4. Delete anything else in above. (any other mouse drivers)
5. How many keyboards are shown in device manager? Some of those drive from PS/2 also.
Other than that I can't think of a thing.
Well one more. In mouse properties has any tinkering been done. -
