Remove any SD cards, PC cards, express cards, usb sticks etc. from the card slots/sockets.
Open the CD/DVD drive tray and restart the machine, press F2 at the Panasonic splash screen to enter BIOS. Navigate with left/right/up/down keys, F keys and Enter. F1 if you need help.
With an unknown machine setup BIOS defaults (F9), then if there's a GPS listed in the Advanced page disable it until later - otherwise the cursor jumps around randomly when Windows starts.
Instructions on changing the boot order are on the right side of the Boot page. CD/DVD drive is IDE MP, just move it to the top of the list.
Insert your CD, close the tray, press F10 and Enter and hopefully it will boot from the CD. Sometimes need to restart with Ctrl/Alt/Del.
Hope I haven't missed anything... -
Welcome to the forum...
You got it Uncle... Just press F2 at boot and chance the boot order to the CD/DVD... I put the Win CD in then reboot. It will come up "Press any key to boot from CD if there is a current OS installed. If it is a blank drive it should just go ahead and install.
You should read up on the CF-29 sticky on the Toughbook main forum page. It will tell you where to download drivers and how to install them all.
