Since my 29 only comes with one usb port, I was wondering if I could use an ps2/usb adaptor so as utilize my ps2 port for say a Logitech Nano cordless mouse (which comes with the tiny usb transmitter)? Seems like it should work, but I thought I should ask you gentlemen first.

I have my doubts that would work, unless it's a PS/2->USB adapter that comes with the mouse.

    Dell people... Sheesh....

If you are talking about turning your PS2 port into a USB port... No... It won't work. However... If you want to use a wired USB mouse into a PS2/USB it should work... I have used them for that.

You should just go ahead and buy a Blueooth PCMCIA card! Get the Billionton if you can... They have the best software!

Although the ps-2 port has 5volts output which is required for usb devices it will not work
I tried using an adapter on a cf-29 and I hooked up a usb flash storage drive and it was not recognized
Same for a usb serial adapter

I guess that the ps-2 is not a good substitute for a true usb bus

Despite the fact that it was answered by a Dell-ish type poster ;) , I would have to agree with namaiki. A USB to PS-2 adapter is not universal for some reason. It only works for the device (and perhaps more to the point the drivers) that it came with. I have tried it with dozens of different adapters and devices both at work and at home and not once was I successful.
