    Hi everybody..

    First thing: please excuse my bad english...I'm french...trying to do my best.

    I have a problem with my toughbook CF-18.
    The screen is not working anymore very well...no backlight...
    It's just the same problem than in that thread:

    Do you have more details about how to solve the problem.
    I readed that it coulb be the inverter ore the f4 fuse...
    I found an inverter: Inverter HBL-0299
    Is that the good one?
    Where can I find this f4 fuse?
    Is there photos of how to chnage those parts on a screen?

    You may want to find a CF 18 service manual. and start there. I am sure it tells you how to replace the inverter. Do you get a good picture when you plug an external monitor in the rear port?

    Hello.
    So...I succeeded to change the inverter. It has worked for a couple of days...then back to black again...I've changed again the inverter but the screen is still black. The backlight is not working...
    Any ideas?
    I need this toughbook to use as a GPS in my land rover in a couple of weeks to go on holidays...not on roads...
