I am wondering if the strain on the power cord is causing the shield fingers to stretch and causing the bullet connector to loose intermittent connectivity? If I remove the keyboard can I see this module and re-pinch the shield connector on the dc charge port? or do I need to order a module to replace it? I guess if it becomes a problem is glue on some file to increase the thickness of the bullet connector.

Buy a new connector and replace it. They cost a buck. Do the job right the first time.
Those connectors fail often enough that I have half a dozen here.

Pinching that metal shield will not correct the problem anyway.
