    I cracked the y4's lcd. the machine is still working fine. i send it to some guy on ebay and they can't find the part. any idea on who/where have the part or fix it? thx

    I don't know if they'll be able to help you, but since Portableone sells the machines, I'd definitely give them a call.

    Try www.panasonic.ca (canada) support section. Search for a parts supplier. Numbers and addresses are there.

    I would try http://www.screentekinc.com and see if they have your screen. They also have removal instructions on their website to help you do this yourself and safe time and $$!

    i got impatient and sold the nb. i got a thinkpad x31 instead. it is ok but no cd burner. i abolutely need it. any idea on where i can get a replacement y2/4 or w4 for a reasonable price? Or something that is similar in spec. The two most important requirements are: 1. less than 3.5 lbs 2. cd/dvd burner. a semi-rugged one will be nice too.
