    happy thanksgiving to all .

    so , how do i tie this in a CF-XX ?
    easy enough ...
    i set my '30 up in the kitchen and double checked my rough cooking times for the turkey .
    i did say rough as no two birds cook exactly alike even if they weigh the same .
    plus , i do a slow roast (covered) that required "tuning for drift" but man , the turkey just about falls off the bone and is very moist .
    if anyone is interested i can write up the particulars and post or email them .

    don't be surprised if a smoked drumstick shows up .
    many years ago (in '76 i think) my sister mailed me a care package that took a few months to catch up with me ... it finally did when i was stationed at ft.gordon ga.
    i had picked up the package at the APO (it was kinda beat up) and stopped at a phone booth to call my sister .
    while talking to her i opened the box while she was telling me what was in the package .
    at one point i asked her if cream puffs were supposed to be green and fuzzy .

    hmmm ...
    the neck on that coors bottle is on the short side as compared to what they normally used .
    then again , i am going by 28 years ago ... don't know if they've changed it in that time .
    hey , "potted turkey" !

    ps ... the turkey turned out great .
    as i type this i am eating a piece of pumpkin pie made with pumpkin i grew ...
    it is buried under about 4" of whipped cream .
