    in another section of the forums here , someone mentioned a windows update that renders some motherboards running W7 unbootable ...
    and it involves UEFI and secure boot .
    yeah , if you have not done so , maybe it isn't such a bad idea to turn off the automatic updates and manually select what is installed .

    the article is a bit dated but i believe the link was made in reference to the crap that M$ is pulling now .
