    hello all,

    hope you can help me.

I have a panasonic toughbook - CF-28. The touchscreen in enabled and works fantastically, however it just stops working every so often. Normally when in the middle of using it!

It does not happen after a certian time, or when doing anything inparticular.

can anyone suggest what might be wrong, and how I can resolve the problem - it's quite frustrating (as you can imagine)

    cheers

Welcome to the forum! When your monitor cuts out... Is there any blinking associated with it or does it just cut out?

When it cuts out... does it pop right back on or does it require a reboot.

The more descriptive you are the better we can help.

    Welcome Oshodisa.

By cutting out do you mean like a hiccup or is it just getting lazy and only working when it wants to?
Hiccups and lazy have completely different cures and I would hate to give you bad advice.

As Toughbook said please give us a better description.

Check the connector on pcb control board it maybe loose, If its Ok! Your pcb control board for touchscreen is failling. But there s more check also the cable ribbon that connect to the touchscreen panel itself coz when the lcd is getting hot it start to loose it contact to the panel glass

Mine does the exact same thing. Will work for a while then eventually just stop working. No errors, no visual problems, just stops working. A reboot fixes it, haven't found a way to get it going without a reboot.

Hibernating and resuming does not re-enable it, so I don't think it is the power cycle. It is probably a drive issue. You cant disable/reenable the mouse driver though so no joy there :( I think it is a win xp issue.
