I just got home with my almost new toughbook 30 and I notice that the movement of the mouse using the built in touchpad is not very smooth or accurate, actually a little jerky. I have tried my mouse settings in control panel but no difference. Any suggestions? Also is there a way to view the live camera images from my cell phone via the bluetooth reciever in the toughbook, or does the phone only recieve, not transmit? I am also planning to add a backlit keyboard, any reviews on the rubber vs the emissive? Thanks, wanjman

Have you tried simply using more pressure with your finger? Toughbook touchpads just register pressure, not conductance or capacitance which is what most notebook touchpads sense. It takes more effort to use, but works with gloves. If I use my touchpad with a light touch like on a normal notebook, I get jerky movements as well.

    MMmmmmm... jerky... *Drool*

What happens if you plug in an external mouse? Does it behave the same, do you have any movement when the mouse is not moving?
