Good morning from New England.:
I'm checking out a good looking cf27/28 mount on ebay for my 93 f150 4x4. I've got cf-29s and am not too worried about the 29 fit on the unit (from what I've gathered here it should (or we know it could!), but wanted to see if anyone has mounted one of these in a similar truck and how it worked out as far as fit esp with the floor space, console, 4x4 shifter, visibility issues, etc. I did write to the seller for measurements and am waiting for his reply. Here's the item:
Precision Mounting Docking Station TOUGHBOOK CF-27/28 | eBay.
What do you think? Thanks from Ken

Considering a complete mounting solution from Havvis or Gamber and Johnson costs around $1000, I think this is the best price you will find.
Also note that you don't want to mount it in an area that can KILL someone if a collision where to occur.
Thanks -
nice unit. Shows some rust in the blurry last picture, but for this price?!
I'm still looking for a CF-19 one and if this would be one, I would be right on top.
@Rob, good point, kill/collision thing -
Here is the one I bought
Panasonic Toughbook CF-27 CF-28 Car Dock for used laptops CF-WEB273
It works for the 27, 28, 29, and I am using it for my CF-30 in my work truck.
I drive a 2008 E-250 Ford van.
I am quite happy with it

I have a Precision unit I paid about that for, minus the articulated base. It is indestructible. The Toughbook of mounts. You might want to verify that the one you get lines up with your pass-throughs.

I wonder if this will work on a CF-30...very good price and the seller still has 20 left.

Thanks everyone for all the input. I just ordered the mount. I had asked the seller for some measurements but didn't get much info so I'm taking a shot as far as how it will fit. I'll take measurements, notes, and pics and post them as I go along. Ken
