Does anyone have a way around the 800x600 video resolution on the mk3? You can't adjust it in video settings. I even tried the latest driver from INTEL on it. I even tried some legacy drivers for it and still can only use 800x600, no higher. It uses the intel 830m chipset. Thanks.

I think that is it... I've always seen them posted as 800X600. You could always swap someone with a 13" or buy a parts laptop...
-
so when you right click on the screen and click properties and display properties open up, then go into setting does it only give options for 800x600,
if it only gives that option then thats very strange,
well then you can try,
clicking on advance and then click adapter on the top, then click on list all modes and try changing ur screen settings from there....... -

The legacy driver for the 800 mhz shows other resolutions but it wont allow me to select them.
-
You can try choosing smaller fonts/icons... Or using the ctrl/up-down arrows to change the size while surfing...
-
if you can see it and there are grey colour there should be a option saying enable all modes!!!!!
or if anything you can do what toughbook says!!!!!! -
I think what it is telling you is that the video chipset can output a signal to the VGA port on the back with a higher resolution than 800x600, even though the LCD panel cannot handle it. I am 99% certain that there are only enough dots on the 12" screen for 800x600.

The way I understand it, the 13 inch that mine has is stuck at 800x600, while the 13.3 inch supports a higher resolution.
-
If you've got a 13" screen that won't go past 800x600, then you must have a software problem. even my 13" CF27 goes to 1024x768.

Your right, I just measured it and its a 12 inch screen. It was sold as a 13 inch. That explains a lot. Thanks.
-
I could swear there are "Power Tools" out there that allow you to increase that... At least artificially. I might be wrong... It's early and my coffee hasn't sunk in yet!
-
WELL,
what i will advice is you download everest or pc wizard 2007 and check what that says about ur lcd it will tell you straight away what the maxium support ur screen has......... -
