The first one is all you need.

All CF-29 have the lcd cable for a touch screen, just missing the Touchscreen PCB and Touchscreen.

Correct, The glass panel in front of the lcd has a film on it that has failed. I would 99.999% guarantee you it is your problem

The first auction is for a Touchscreen; it's really not a bad deal considering he includes the control board AND has left it intact on the bezel. This means you don't have to worry about losing the watertight seal by transferring it to your old bezel when you install it; just put your LCD & other insides on this bezel and then put your back on it and you're done.

Unless this bezel is truly horrendous looking on the front, I would recommend against trying to separate the new touchscreen from it; it's very easy to damage the touchscreen and/or the seals, which really don't like to let go.

The other listing is for the LCD itself; I recognize it as a Sanyo-Torisan part #.

One thing to remember when replacing the touch "membrane" is that it is VERY VERY sensitive to dust! Do NOT NOT NOT get dust in between the membrane and the panel otherwise you will be fubar!

Have you ruled out the driver not being properly installed?

When I first got my 29 I was convinced the touchscreen was bad. I started out with a fresh install of XP, and the touch function would just not work. I thought I had tried everything, ran the install program several times.

It was later that I figured out that the "install" program from Panasonic just placed the driver on the hard drive and I had to update the driver manually.

Then I had the driver installed but calibration would feel like it failed to even calibrate cause I didn't hold the stylus on the 1st X long enough.
