I can buy a cf-19 mk6 new in box for a not too bad price. Not a steal either, but oke.
    this model number is cf-191haaxf3
If I read the wiki nomenclature right, the x stands for wireless ready. Is that WWAN ready? Does that mean the antenna are already in, wires are in and all I need is a 4G card to pop in and tinker with the software?

Well that's the way it has been in the past. I would contact Panasonic to be sure.

Good to know. But this whole thing is dodgy. he want's to sell a mk6 for 1050 GBP but doesn't want to sell it on ebay. He's got it from his boss, so he's the legal owner. Yeah right, and I'm an Easter bunny at Hefners ranch.
To make things even "better" he posted it as a mk7 with a mk6 model number, no own pictures just copies from panny.
I don't mind taking a little risk, but this whole thing reeks of fraud, deception and loosing a 1050 pounds for me.

And, as you've told earlier, there is no sense to upgrade your MK5 to MK6 or MK7 :)

Two reasons here, cheap and USB3. I regulary clone my 600Gb ssd to an identical 600Gb SSD for an off-line backup. That's much faster with USB3. And my mk5 is getting older :-D
Thanks for weighing in guys!! Makes it easier to rationalize. As many knows owing one toughbook is almost always a start to owing several ;)

There are ExpressCard to USB 3.0 adapters.
Or you can use LAN to another PC with USB 3.0 and your SSD :)
Or you can buy that Toughbook, of course, if you want it :)))

Bar, it's a good idea! But I have used some expresscards and they are not able to sustain longer periods of SSD to SSD writing without disconnecting themselves! Tried three different ones, different brands different ssd and different cables, housings etc and to say the least it's not been a great succes!

The LAN would be an option but somehow I haven't been able to make that work with an apple. Perhaps I should try some more there. Other point is that I clone my disk, which isn't too easy over LAN to a second drive in another PC... :)

But the mk6 is now sold to some poor bugger who thinks he will get a mk7. The joys of doing business over fleabay
