Hi,
I want to upgrade the memory & put a 1gig sodimm in my cf18b... the crucial memory web site has 2 types of cf18 listed: one is a pentium4 the other is a ddr2.... which one is mine??![]()

DDR2 memory should suffice.

Click on discontinued models, select Configure under CF-18, and select the drop downs for your model - CF-18B is a 900mhz.
From that you should be able to decide what memory to use, or have the info to check online.

I've got a CF-18 D
The DMI viewer shows 2 memory cards - max module size 512mb
One is under the speaker for easy upgrade - just remove the screws and your in.... This was empty when I bought my TB and I've stuck a 512mb module in.
The other is hidden inside somewhere and is 256mb - Not sure if it is possible to upgrade or how easy this would be (anyone know?). I've yet to get a strip down manual.
I've been running like this for a years and a half and find in copes alright with most things I do.
I'd guess the CF-18 B would not handle this much memory(but what do I know?) How did you get on? -
The 256mb is builtin, solered on the mbo. and one slot for expansion. As far as I know cf-18MK1 is pc2100.
ohlip
what memory to use for upgrading my cf-18b (mk1)?
