Internal modding is no easy feat, you can just settle for an external unit via usb, or if your have bluetooth they make bluetooth ones also.

Modding the GPS into the CF-29 is easy... Yes they sell cheap kits on the Internet with cheap components that may work okay for you... But to get the best you need to read through so of the threads as it is fairly easy, if you have the tools and skills, to fabricate and install your own. PM me with any questions... Or post them here...

    Welcome to the forum alpha040

As Toughbook says read the stickys and get an idea of what we are up to with modding

We like to do things ourself as best we can around here ,so you won't find much talk on buying complete kits from either panasonic or other sources

There are some innovative modders here on the forum that have spend a lot of effort to improve upon the stock type setups ,in both reliability and performance

Most of the work can be performed by someone that has built computers or has similar skills, the only part that is difficult is the flat cable breakout from the motherboard that connects to the gps engine as it requires some tricky soldering

At last count there is 3 active members here that do this well and they might be talked into building and supplying that cable for a reasonable cost

thanks guys, in fect the reason i want it internal is that if i can have something can do all i want for me, why i have to have others~~~
i think i trust the performance of internal gps, (according to old threads). and it can work longer then original GPS system~~~~
of course i already have that skill for set it up by my sell ~~~~well i already take all pices apart of my toughbook two days ago.

thanks for all suggestion~~~they all help~~now i to think about it deeper~~~

Just as a plug for the system pioneered and originated by the members of this forum I usually get a lock up, inside a building, in less then 10 seconds. I find the system very accurate and reliable!

The guys here have done a incredible job in developing this and I think that is one of the best Internet collaborations that I have seen to date! I enjoyed reading the whole development threat and seeing how these trail blazers did it. I really appreciate this effort!
