Ideally, I would buy or make a gps that fits inside my cf-29. Being a cheap skate, I saw the gps kit that cost 180.00 and decided for now, go with a option that cost less.

Also, downloaded http://navigatorfree.mapfactor.com/en/. nice software. But I will not know how well it works or how accurate it is untill I obtain a new gps receiver.

I was thinking of a gps receiver that is powered by the vehicles power and provides blue tooth connectivity to the laptop. Any recommendations that provides these features?

    Thanks much!

You have posted in the wrong place but Blair will be along to fix that. When you go looking for your post in the main forum take a second to look at the "stickies" at the top of the page. Welcome to the forum, you will find a ton of info on map software and GPS here.

If you are wanting cheap software look for some of the older software on ebay or amazon. I got TOPO 7 for under 10 bucks.

For a internal GPS you will spend more unless you do the modding yourself. So for price you are going to have to go with a external gps. Here is a couple of examples for you.

I have this same one, but the charger hasn't showed up to test it out yet. It's usb voltage powered but I didn't have the right connector.

    with car only charger
eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices

On usb gps they have some that look like flash drives and others that have a cable and antenna built in. From what others have said the ones with the antenna work better signal wise.

PCMCIA to Compact flash adapter, compact flash GPS CARD.

Modding one in yourself will be far better than stock or any kit you can buy on ebay!
