    I have a Storm case that I bought which is identical to the pelican but have never used it
    I usualy carry my cf-30 without any case

    This never made sence to me to put a toughbook in a case , it's a toughbook !! but my XPS I would not leave the house without one . :D

    If you hide one toughbook behind another, one of them is bound to survive a nuclear blast with a working screen :) other than that I agree with you and I've got nothing

    I see.... so, going by the pic in your avatar there... what exactly IS the Ballistic Protection Rating of ELEVEN layers of Toughbook? I gotta guess 2 layers would be a II-A rating...
