    Hi all,

Have just picked up a couple of cf-m34's , have yet to receive said items so don't have exact model numbers but i know they don't have wifi or bluetooth. Is this mod possible and if so is there any particular card i should look out for......have located some wifi antennas with u.fl connectors which i will mount in the case somewhere......

    cheers in advance

Mick.... wifi is easy and BT can be added via one of the USB connections on the inside... But you'll need the service manual and schematics....

You have two choices if you want the wifi internal. You can delete your modem/lan combo card and put in the wifi or you can try and find the board that gives you the second mini pci slot (good luck, as they are rare). You can also keep the modem/lan card and go pcmcia for the wifi.

With a little trimming of the 'ribs' on the inside of the rubber PCMCIA flap, a 3COM wifi card with the retractable Xjack antenna will enable you to close the PCMCIA flap/door with the card in place. The model I use has 802.11 a,b & g capability and the reception is quite good, given the limitations of the tiny retractable antenna.
