I've had better luck using the Vista upgrade drivers, except for the audio. Use the XP audio driver.

Run the drivers in compatibilty mode for Vista or XP and as administrator.

    I also don't have a touchscreen so, I can't comment on that.

Also, I tried 7 Ultimate vs. 7 Professional and I believe that 7 Professional performs better.

Did you overwrite that disk I sent you or is there the possibility of finding the drivers on it? I'm referring to the OEM Mk5 XPPro drivers. Clueless about much but really clueless about Win 7. I seem to remember someone saying the overwritten files were squirreled away somewhere when upgrading.

fwiw (lower case in case I'm imagining things)

I concur with Jeff, I have done this now several times on various Mk4-5 without a hitch. I would start fresh with a freshly formatted HDD and do a clean install. The XP keyboard drivers should be your only small issue!

And if I have done it, it is "fool proof" as I am sure that some would concur! :p

Let me know by the end of the week if you don't get the floppy drive. I didn't think it was worth insuring. That's what I get for thinking. 9405 5036 9930 0100 2842 55 is the tracking number. It was misrouted and is now somewhere in Kansas. :D

Don't sweat the video driver. Use the native Windows 7 driver and you will not have problems. Or at least I haven't. Don't sweat the small stuff.

    Your mileage may vary.
