When I'm not using ubuntu on my cf-y5, I use windows for a few programs. Anyhow, I put windows 7 on my laptop, but there is no way to control the brightness, neither with the hotkeys, or in a menu. Does anybody know how to get this working in win7?

The hotkeys driver controls the screen brightness and is required
I had the same issues when I first tried W7 on a few of my older Toughbooks
It was a serious issue for me as it is very important to control this and I lost patience and went back to XP in most cases
With members here finding success with older hardware cf-18 mk-1 and even the early model cf-29's it gives you hope to resolving this
You need to find a Vista driver, and if not available a xp driver and try different things to get it to work by running in compatability mode etc -
it's really frustrating that microsoft wants everybody to buy a new computer. At least with linux (ubuntu) all the hotkeys work out of the box, and I can control my screen brightness

I tried to upgrade to 7 on my 28 but had to step back down as there was no way to get the hotkey drivers or the graphics drivers to work. Sucks man.
