    Razer currently offering 20% off the Blade and Blade pro with .edu email. Offer ends Feb. 28th 2014.

    If it was to capitalize on new students I feel like the timing could be better. The spring semester is starting in a lot of places and people have already plunked down the cash for new computers if needed. I saw that sentiment echoed on Facebook as well.

    The timing seems about right for a sale to clear out stock. I'd imagine that Gen 3 is lined up for a launch soon. Especially if the 8 series cards are coming soon. I just started grad school so I'm tempted to jump on this but I feel like I'll just kick myself when the better model comes out.

    I feel like next gen Nvidia cards won't be out for at least another 5 months, especially for actual production. Rumors seem to be kinda quiet though, so maybe?

    I always thought Razer had a student and developer discount program. It's always been on their site.

    Yea, the developer discount is only for the Blade Pro, but it is pretty steep discount. There are a few requirements though for it. The student one is limited to like 15ish schools worldwide. My school wasn't on the list, and I tried applying. However, after 3 months, nothing occurred... This would be the best chance for a student to pick one up discounted.

    Edit: The normal student discount is only 10% as well.

    My college isn't all that large & my email worked. I think as long as it ends in .edu, it should work.

    I bought the 256GB Blade 14 thanks to this deal, saved $400.

    The sale + tax season made this an easier buy.

    Purchased in the morning, they shipped it late that night.

    Mine left from Bloomington, CA via Fedex Ground (Home Delivery). Took 6 days to reach me in Philadelphia, PA

    From Feb 6th - Feb 12th.

    I ordered my RBP early on the 12th, it shipped 2 days later on the 14th, and was received on the 19th.

    It worked because in February they had 20% promo for all edu emails. Normal discount is for limited schools and only 10%.
