I just tried and it made no differences except the font size is bigger.
    Still stuck on that com.apple.launchd

You've tried all the flags I take it? Disabled Nvidia graphics completely? I'll probably take a stab at it this weekend. Like SRSR333 said though, it's going to be really tough with this one and I'm not very hopeful. I've tried with two other Haswell laptops and haven't gotten very far. If we can get it reasonably working it might be worth swapping out the wifi card for.

    Yep.
I did use -x and -v for flag and no luck.

Intel HD 4600 isn't the problem; it's Intel HD 4600 with the 3200x1800 resolution. If it were Intel 5000 or better, that would be great, but Razer chose to use a noob processor with a noob iGPU.

Nah, they chose the right one. Any other processor and we would all be complaining about battery life. Iris + 770M would be overkill

I dunno. Apple can pull off Iris Pro and more than 7hrs... To each their own, I suppose.

They can, but they would have gotten more if they used a lower wattage CPU. That's probably why the MBA gets so much more battery whan the MBP. Iris makes sense on the Macbook Pros though because they don't have a dGPU anymore(except for the most expensive model). It's Apples and Oranges anyways because there's no way a Macbook Pro can run Windows for 7 hours. Their battery life is strongly dependent on their lightweight kernel, which Windows will never have until they remove support for legacy applications(which will probably never happen).

That's one reason why I chose to pass over the rMBPs: who in their right mind would choose an integrated graphics solution for more cost??? They also put the 'Pro' moniker but the Iris Pro is anywhere but near professional-grade...

The reason Windows battery life stinks on rMBP is drivers and power saving. Apple has no interest in fixing it..

What version are you installing to get stuck where you are? Can you send a screenshot? I get a Kernel panic instantly after darwin loads. It's likely due to locked MSRs, so I'm going to have to try and patch the mach_kernel manually. If you have a workaround to get further, please share it.

There already is a patch. As a matter of fact, if you're using Clover, there's no need to patch as there's an autopatch option. Refer to link:

I did patch the BIOS by pmpatch to solve the kernel problem.
    I will post some screenshots.

Nice, I'll have to try that. Looks like you're further along than before. Is it stuck on those bottom messages now? Maybe disabling USB 3 in the bios would help?

Edit: Wow, you've got some guts trying that patch! Am reading the thread now and found a couple people who bricked their laptops trying and failing. Was it fairly straight forward to do? I tried downloading his link and Chrome told me it had malicious software on it so I stopped for now.

lol, I did not use my brain when I use the patch. But it solves the reboot.
I'll try to keep working on it tonight.

Why'd you patch the BIOS? Clover has a non-intrusive solution (as I mentioned)...

Anyway, if you're capable enough, try to patch for an option to change the graphics processor. The installer isn't loading because the HD 4600 doesn't support it, and the Nvidia GPU isn't recognised by OS X because of Optimus...

I've had no luck with that Clover workaround so far. Stuck at the boot screen. I did UEFI though, so maybe I'll try Legacy next

Has anybody succeeded in this? Even to just boot normally into OS X with out crashing would be nice. I've been searching for a solution for my RB2014 for over a 6 months now.

I have managed to get OSX running on my 2014 blade with varying levels of success. Both mavericks, and yosemite booted without the need of any boot flags, however graphics acceleration was an absolute pain in the ass, and was what got me to revert back to windows.

Do note, that none of the windows based usb creation methods worked for me, and I had to use a vm to make the usb.

Also as SRSR333 said, a bios mod is required, however a fellow blade user made a modified bios that allows you to change the settings required (he made it to get an external gpu working, but it allows you to change the dvmt prealloc value)

Link (do flash at your own risk, but it appears to work fine for me):
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...mod-pcie-3-0-lid-mod-power-button-mod.773520/

To preserve my windows install, I used a clover bootloader, as my uefi windows install would not be recognized by a chimera/ chameleon bootloader.

most of the core specs of the blade is fairly similar to the xps 15 (similar processor, same chiset, and graphics), so this link can be used for help
    http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-laptop-guides/144351-guide-dell-xps-9530-using-clover-uefi.html

Unfortunately there is no way of getting the intel wifi chip in the blade to work on osx, as apple does not use them, and there are no drivers in osx to recognize them. I did manage to get a 6 year old broadcom chip from an old acer laptop working, so I'm guessing that anything other than an intel chip will work without a problem.

On my yosmite trial, I got hung up on patching the dsdt's, and the iokit, thus eq/ci was not going to work, and the whole os is very choppy without it.

With this info, I hope it might help some of you get osx working, but I have spent way too much of my summer on this, so I'll be stuck with windows for a while, as I need the blade as a daily for uni...

May the odds be ever in your favor, and use this picture for reassurance...

It funny reading through this because originally I was finishing up college and liked the idea of having both in one system or having a system that had both operating systems but with great parts/components. And then I started making really good money out of college and then it became clear as day that if I just bought both systems it both be easier and more productive of my time considering what I earn ... Read the post above only confirms that I made the right decision..
