    Question for owners of the 2017 14” Blade UHD. How well does the display scale down to, say, 1080p and 1440p? Does it get blurry? Thanks in advance

    I consider it a non-issue.

    It will look fine for both productivity and media/gaming use. You will only notice a difference if you specifically look for it. Otherwise, non-issue

    The problem with Windows 8 and Windows 10 as opposed to Windows 7 is when you apply DPI Scaling, it doesn't do it on a system wide level. So some apps will scale perfectly and look sharp and others won't.

    Example: open up services.msc or Computer Management and see how blurry they look if you have any kind of DPI scaling.

    To fix this, revert back your scaling to a 100% then use this tool to do the DPI scaling on a system wide level. that'll make everything look sharp not just certain apps

    Note: Even though the author of that tool says DPI scaling has been fixed in Windows 10 Fall Creators Update. I'm telling you from personal experience, it's still the same garbage and hasn't been fixed.

    If you cut you monitors resolution exactly in half you will get very little blur. Useful for games since 1060 is under powered for 4K.

    For example 3840x2160 halved to 1920x1080

    If you decrease your resolution by half, ALL you will get is blur! :rolleyes: Any resolution other than the native resolution on an LCD panel will result in blur.

    Compared to native yes, compared to an odd aspect ratio it is much better.
