Not overly into all the bios editing. Recently got a Razer studio (Late 2020) and wanted to get 64gb ram. I kept hearing about editing bios and assumed I would need to. first I tried samsung bu that was at 2633. Then swaped for ripjaws and finally Hyper X. The newest bios had the XMP profiles and wasn't an issue. my question is....
is this as fast as I can push it? what are all the other mods for related to ram speeds?

I’m just running 64GB HyperX Impact 2933MHz DDR4 RAM in my 2020 RB Advanced 2070S using the default XMP profile in my BIOS (1.03)

Without bios editing you’re pretty much stuck at 2933, unless you find a set that runs at 3200 with the default JEDEC timings(not xmp) -
Its telling me 3200 in the bios xmp. Are you saying that its not running that speed,

No, go by what your Bios says, and you can double-check using CPUZ..
I’m referring to the fact a lot of users were not able to use 3200mhz XMP.. but I believe it had to do with the voltage the ram uses for XMP.. if 1.2v it’ll work straight-away, if it runs 1.35v you might have issues. -

To your original question:
If you’re already at 3200mhz using XMP, and want more performance (higher frequency and/or tighter timings) you’ll need to mod your bios to have access to those settings.
