Thanks for the superbly helpful reply.
I am thinking about getting the Kingston hyper x 3200 for the blade (CL20)
Has anyone used these or have a better recommendation? Does the bios auto detect the higher speed or do I have to tweak settings?

The BIOS will automatically choose the settings it needs, and you can't tune anything yourself. Updating the BIOS will enable XMP but remove the ability to undervolt the system. Not a worthwhile compromise, IMO.

That's a fair point. But I think future versions of the BIOS updates may carry an undervolting unlock.
I wonder if anyone has tried custom rams with the new bios. -
I feel like we post in here every day telling you how to get around the locks and you lot keep on posting like "maybe it'll be unlocked in future updates lols!"
Buy a SPI programmer and get it done!MagillaGorilla likes this. -

The odds of that happening are somewhere between slim and none.alaskajoel likes this. -
Yes, 0. The BIOS is locked down by choice by Razer.

Which flasher should I buy ?

I'm already pretty sure that the answer is "no", but worth asking just in case I'm wrong. Are RTX 2080 MQ and Super vBios compatible witch eachother?

Hi All!
Having some serious network issues with my Blade 15, a lot of network reset errors and trouble viewing videos after 10 or so minutes. Network, whether home or work, just seems sluggish. Windows performance monitor app seems to show high network activity and a lot of socketed processes. I'm considering a non Razer installation of Windows 10 Pro. Anyone have experience with this? Were you able to get everything running, and if not, what specifically didn't (chroma keyboard comes to mind). Any guides posted on driver installation order, etc? Of particular concern is Thunderbolt 3 support for eGPU. I have a 1 TB NVME drive I can install as a test bed.
Anyway, sharing your experience would be greatly appreciated!!! -

Make sure your drivers are up to date. If that doesn't help, open up the back cover and remove/reseat the card and antennas. Reinstalling Windows should be a last resort.

So an update for everyone, at least the left USB-C port is compatible with DP 1.4 and is connected directly to the nVidia GPU.
Does anyone know if the touch screen advanced model is compatible with digital pens or not? I'd like to use one in photoshop/lightroom but not sure if it would work. -
Installing a clean windows 10 is as easy as it can get. Everything auto installed for you via windows update once you get the network working. The only thing you’ll Have to install manually Is Razer Synapse/Chroma.

You don't even have to do this as the Synapse installer launches automatically when you first go online. Heck, I believe it even pops up before Windows setup is completely finished.amihail91 likes this. -
Can any one say is 2080 max q can be flashed by custom bios?
And what flasher is need to flash bios? -

I can confirm this is also the case with the Base model. It can drive a high-refresh 4K display with an appropriate USB-C to DisplayPort 1.4 cable, and G-Sync also works. -
Hi folks,
I noticed an unknown PCI device in the device manager. I tried updating the driver, removing the device, but it keeps popping up. Anyone else notice this?
Thanks for your help! -

My first guess would be the NVIDIA USB-C driver.

Thanks for the reply. Any suggestions on how I can identify and install the relevant drivers?
Update: I was able to find the PPC folder for the nvidia drivers and manually update the driver from device manager. Thanks!Last edited: Jul 25, 2020 -

Razer has broken my heart for the last time. Was playing some games the other night, and the top of the keyboard at the function layer got so hot, it nearly burned my finger. That and the palm rejection on the trackpad completely sucks, with no amount of registry tweaking able to fix it to my satisfaction. I was planning on getting a higher-end laptop (MSI Creator, Gigabyte Aero), but since I've been using my desktop more, I'm going to save a few hundred bucks and try out the new HP Omen with a Ryzen 7 CPU. I wish it had the RTX 2060 instead of the GTX 1660 Ti, but it's not like ray tracing is exactly useful on it anyway. Besides, the laptop 1660 is closer in performance to its desktop counterpart than the 2060 is to its.

Is that this one? It apparently comes with rtx2060. Yes playing games on Blade that area would be hot since it’s main heat output, however what games use function keys? Never touch that areas only maybe to low or up the volumes. Btw if you have already desktop and plan something light...wait don’t you have stealth 2020
when I’m not wrong.

Maybe in Europe, but not in North America, at least not yet.
Lots of them. In addition to standard functions like quick save/quick load, they're useful for binding macros. Ever play the original Deus Ex? That uses the entire function row for augmentation abilities.
Stealth wasn't powerful enough for what I was doing, and I wanted something that had enough ports to where I wouldn't have to carry a dongle for Ethernet, more USB-A ports, and video output. -
YouTubers said that rtx 2060 comes only on intel version weird, that sheet tells other.
Okay good to know, think I’ve one of that games series but definitely not original one and never really played it only for benchmarking, not my game type. Blade keyboard if i need for gaming i use mostly wsad and around that areas, at max maybe number keys above for changing weapon but I don’t change it every second like I’m using movements wsad keys so maybe because of that I didn’t notice the heat, and never touch function keys for quick save as well on my titles I think I do quick save only on Witcher that I play with controller, super easy two buttons click.
Stealth isn’t powerful laptop indeed since it was made for portability not performance but it’s first time I can play something not struggle on 1080p even not on max setting, it’s however 13 inch you won’t notice the difference and it’s @1.4kg maybe less, more I think I can notice the weight like on 1,8kg Blade 14 when carrying on my bag. -

If you go to the HP US website, the best GPU you can get on the Ryzen-equipped Omen 15 is the 1660 Ti. Doesn't make a ton of sense since there are other laptops that have a Ryzen and RTX 2060 (Asus G14, et al), especially since the cooling on the Omen is apparently quite good, but it is what it is. I have to get something before my return window for the Blade expires in less than a week. -
Own and disown shows this, that is what bottlenecked me buying laptop today, there’s good cpu but with 2 years old gpu performance 1660ti is around same with my 1070maxq, on some titles that demand vram maybe better. Damn that ryzen cpu performance though, hope a good looking laptop ugh ugh will use this maybe together with a not around 2018 performance GPUs.

He is not based in the United States, and his information could very well be wrong since there is no Ryzen/RTX 2060 model listed for sale on the HP UK or German sites. This is from the HP US store, highlighting the highest end configuration available.
