Anyone place anything under the Razer? It simply gets too hot especially when I'm using it on my bed while lying down and after 1 game of Hearthstone the thing burns like a mother....
Anyone use any type of cooling pad to dissipate the heat?
If so what did you find to work?
Thanks!

It is not recommended to put your laptop on your bed while while you use it. Reason is that you are blocking the air intake for the fans which cools your laptop which is located on the bottom of your laptop. If you really really need to use your laptop on your bed then i highly suggest you get a cooling pad or anything that basically suspends your laptop away from your bed. You could look at the Cooler Master Notepal U series cooling pads. They run on USB power so you don't need to run power cord to the cooling pad's fans while you're on your bed. Next, they have 2 or 3 fans (depending on what model you wanna get) which are re-positional on the cooling pad so that you can fix them on the location which will push air directly onto your laptop's air intake inlet.

I got a Amazon.com: Cooler Master NotePal X3 Laptop Cooling Pad with 200mm Blue LED Fan (R9-NBC-NPX3-GP): Computers & Accessories which works well. The fan speed is adjustable, which is nice.

Do the cooling pads fans get significantly louder than the RAZER BLADE itself?
Did it help with temps at all? -
I'd like to know this as well. I had a cooling pad for my MSI GT780 before, but the temperature did not seem to change. The pad had 2 fans, but not adjustable.

The internal components don't necessarily stay cooler since the laptop's fan curves are so conservative, but most parts of the outside of the laptop stay a lot cooler if there's air moving around it (most notably the area around the touchpad).

Im using:
Amazon.com: Cooler Master NotePal X-Slim Ultra-Slim Laptop Cooling Pad with 160mm Fan (R9-NBC-XSLI-GP): Computers & Accessories
Reduces temps from ~95C to ~90C on the CPU. Nothing noticeable on the GPU. It's almost like a thin tray which is helpful for moving the laptop around. -
I wanted my pad to be slim and light for travel, so I went with this one:
Amazon.com: Targus Space Saving Lap Chill Mat for Laptop up to 17-Inch, Gray/Black (AWE80US): Computers & Accessories
Targus space-saving chill mat.
Most of the time I don't even run the fans - it just gives the Blade a little more clearance, and keeps my lap from blocking the vents. When I do run the fans, they are very quiet.
Another item I have is a Logitech Lap Desk. This is a very nice, comfortable padded pad for laptops. It doesn't have any fans, and is way too big to travel with, but it's nice when I want to surf with the laptop in my lap, and not block the vents. This might work great for you when you're using the laptop in bed.
Amazon.com: Logitech Comfort Lapdesk N500 (white/grey): Electronics
Cooling pad?
