If you do happen to unscrew the motherboard would you drop a note here. Also if you ever have a chance to take a few pictures inside that would be great. Good luck finding that SATA cable, I think I've seen cables like that on other laptops it might be something you could find.

    Hi Cyanide,

Would you be so kind to repost the images? They seem to be taken down from imgur. Thanks for the guide!

It's risky upgrading the ram on R2 Razer Blade, I did it and was sweating bullets the whole entire time. You have to remove some screws that will enable you to lift the motherboard up to get access to the underside of the motherboard where the ram slots are situated. I don't have pictures of the procedure, but you may find some pics of another users opening of the laptop and pointers to the exact screws that need to be removed to gain access to perform the ram swap.

I added a 2nd hard drive to my machine after I had a problem with the mSATA and had to unscrew the device anyway (the mSATA drive got slightly dislodged so was giving errors).

Here's an image of the machine open:

All in all it was pretty easy to install taking less than 30minutes. I purchased the cable from Amazon and used this cable which just snapped on really easily.

    Any questions let me know.

So you're saying that they're not soldered on? May consider this once my warranty expires.

Just curious could you just clone the drive onto a bigger sdd and then just install it?
