I haven't used my laptop hardcore for a while. I turn it on for quick youtube and then shut it down. Yesterday I decided to work a bit in bed with my Razer Blade Advanced 2019 and I had an interesting surprise. I clicked the button to turn it on and my green led started flashing. Nothing happened. I clicked again and the light kept flashing.
When the laptop finally turned on it was a mess. It rebooted on its own a few times and my windows 10 was weird. The date and time were completely wrong. It was the 14th of January 2020 and 08:47 in the morning. I then ran some updates and looked for some drivers but Razer stopped making BIOS updates in April 2019.
Has anyone had this ? I have a feeling something happened with the CMOS battery.

If its still under warranty contact razer asap.

Maybe windows update on background that isn’t finished when you shut it down? I had similar issue with Razer tablet before, long time didn’t use it since at that time got Blade 14 and had to use recovery stick to fix that broken update.

I had a chat with Razer. They opened a ticket. I had to reset my BIOS settings.
I guess the laptop needs to be off for a while until it starts to act weird.
Quick shutdowns do not affect the laptop.
Maybe the CMOS battery holds charge and when this is gone it starts to go haywire.
Laptop is in warranty. Less than one year. -
I thought also the same, but I shutdown the system immediately, then when restart it keeps on circle windows logo hours. Contacted CS since it couldn’t pass that load mark, and they sent usb recovery to boot, reinstall and it was fine again. Maybe different issue though.
It broke ... I guess
