They get a shipment every two weeks. It's just over two weeks since they last sent out units. They are coming. =)

So the ones that will be sent out soon should be less likely of having problems?

The first few batches are bound to have some issues. Usually as time goes on they figure out how to avoid building/shipping faulty units.

Just as any FYI to all waiting on shipping still... I ordered on July 15th, received an email this week with an estimated ship date of 7/25 and got a FedEx confirmation number on the 25th. Laptop estimated delivery from FedEx is tomorrow. Seems from my perspective Razer is learning from past mistakes with transperency. Fingers crossed for no defects though. Unit is 256gb 14".

Thanks for the info! Still crossing my fingers that the 512s don't take too much longer (seems to be the people waiting)

My biggest concern aside from the wait time. was that going from the Razer blade R2 "17 inch" to the crappy display on the new Razer Blade 14'' would be a huge disappointment. Couple that with the wait time, and unfortunately Razer lost a customer .... for this year anyways :)

I think you are making the right decision. I would wait for 14r2 at least if I had a 17r2

I called Razer back up and asked if it was possible for me to change to the 1-2 day shipping for my Blade Pro. Guy told me that he can't do anything because the order was already placed even though my laptop has been in the "Order in Process" state for almost 3 weeks. I'm close to just canceling my order. I then asked him when the next shipment would be coming in. He told me he didn't know and to have a good day.

Cancelling an order to reorder probably wouldn't be the best idea - you'll go to the back of the line.

Unless you mean cancelling all together! Woosa woosa. Nbd to wait a few days more to get something you want! :)

I placed my order for the blade 14 on the 16th. Got an e-mail like everyone else on the 23th saying that it will be shipped out on the 24th. On the 24th, I got shipping info and tracking number. Within couple hours it arrived. The unit came with a scratch on the screen and very loud static noise. Obtained the RMA number on 25th and send back for repairs today. The wait continues.........

Well I'm going to be leaving soon and need it by the 31st. I'd hope they could help me out just a little bit with this when I'm paying such a high price for a laptop. I'm going to give them a call back and if they can't help me I'm just going to wait for the retina macbook refresh.

then technically it would void the warranty because they would know I've installed a second msata drive before?

Because it's being shipped, I'd like to have it shipped before I leave for school. I don't trust it being shipped up at school. If they can't, I'll just wait for a Retina Macbook since I'll be able to get one in store.

A few days is quite different from a few weeks. Some of us were planning on using the blade for work...and that's making each day of waiting a lot less patient.

I contacted Razer back asking to change my shipping to 1-2 days and all they did was gave me a case number. I told them that it's supposed to ship on Monday and if they could do anything to change my shipping now and all they did was made the case urgent. :/

This is why I urged them to shut down the order page, gray out the order button, and label the Razer blade as "out of stock". They asserted that their logistics were good enough to, and I quote, "anticipate shipments and match demand". Uh-huh...

Is the anti glare display on the Razer 14 grainy or is it bright and clear especially on white backgrounds?

Quickie. As you can tell the experiences are vast and very different for each order. The one thing that you can depend on is that your experience will be a unique one as compared to everyone else. I don't know if that is alarming or comforting to you but it is at this point in time the truth.

Just to help you guys out, before sending my back to razer due to screen problems, I opened it up, installed a second msata and changed the wifi to a intel 7260 ac with ease.
Windows recognised the second msata and all I had to do was to format it and assign a drive letter. Didnt bother to convert to RAID in BIOS as from what I saw online I would have to back the whole thing up. Did some tests with the 7260 ac and got much more range on wifi connections, much better than the killer 1202 that comes installed imho.
So for all you guys out there, do not worry about opening it up, I only needed a torx 4 or 6 (cant remember but if I recall correctly was a 6), a small phillips screw driver to replace the wifi card and help disconnect the antennas and screw the second msata in. No seals or anything...
Also, Razer didnt even suspect it had been openned as I got my refund.

I've decided to poke fun at Razer's poor logistics until they can get it together well enough to get out to distributors. I'll be tweeting a new mocking meme at them every night and morning till distributors get the blades. Feel free to poke fun or comment too. Just making something out of a horrible situation.

No you should not. The best thing you can do is maintain a charge. If you keep it plugged in almost all the time and there's a setting to limit it to 80%, do that and maintain charge. The whole let it run to zero nonsense is not good for the battery.

Best of luck to those still awaiting their Blades.

Mine is due for arrival next Monday (probably Sunday PDT) in Manila after an RMA. I'll update everyone when I get to use it and test for defects again.

For those waiting, patience! It was worth it when I waited it out for mine (twice), I'm sure it'll be the same for you :)

I think it might just arrive tomorrow. I could have sworn that my unit arrived my US address on a Saturday US since I was notified of it on Sunday, Australia. Fingers crossed!

For what it's worth, I think the batches your Blade is in should be defect free, in my opinion. They've had more than enough time to see the quality they've been putting out and should have been able to improve it already. Let us know!

It will not arrive until Monday. FedEx refused to deliver it today although it is in my city now. Razer did not authorize Saturday delivery on these packages. $60 to deliver a package ~100 miles and no Saturday delivery. Ooh well at least it's on it's way to me.

For those of you who are waiting on orders from Amazon and other distributors. May I ask you a question? What is preventing you from ordering direct from Razer? Is it support, Tax, your location, Razers logistics, or just principal?

In what situations Razer 14 will generate most heat?
Do you think its safe to use the Blade 14 in a bed to do some basic typing, browsing, or watching movies?
Has anyone successfully install another mSATA to the Blade 14?

    1) Gaming/benchmarking
    2) Make sure it is cool, then put it in powersaving mode. Should stay cool. Viewing angles may be a problem.
    3) Yes. Not me personally, but I have seen multiple confirmations it works. The picture from Razer even shows 2 mSATA slots filled.

Got my confirmation midnight. I (of course) had emailed them to cancel a few hours before due to being fed-up with the service...but of well ;). We will see if I want to keep it or not I suppose.

Perhaps If it isn't to my satisfaction though, I'll just sell it to one of you poor souls for the same price I paid ;). We'll see though, its difficult to not love a device I've been drooling over so long :).

This has been a great/dreadful experience

tax and the fact that I received $700 in amazon credit for my college graduation. Icannot afford the blade without the amazon credit. I am still a loyal Razer customer, but I have to wait for what looks like its going to be a couple months while people who are equally loyal (or not, depending) buy one day and get shipping two days later. I'm really up creek without a paddle on this.

Regarding the wireless, Killer won't work with Cisco LEAP, or EAP-TLS (certificate based). That being said, it should be relatively easy to swap out the wireless card for a proper Intel 7260ac (which this should have had all along). The new Intel stuff just works, and has considerably better range than the "killer"
