Quick question for you buffs: is it better I go HyperX Impact 2666mhz CL15 and try to push the speed up OR do I go HyperX Impact 3200mhz (because Razer says the Pro supports that via XMP) CL20 and try to push the CL down?

Did you end up doing either or?

I just got into RAM overclocking and I own the 2666 MHz models of the proposed RAM modules.
Overclocking it up to 3200 is pretty much impossible, even with timings such as 22 22 22 44 at 1.35V.
I started down-cycling it and the first timing won't go under 15. I only achieved 15 15 15 35 at 1.20V for now, will spend some more time in the future.
I don't know if this helps you @gnwjd12 , given how late of an answer this is.amihail91 likes this. -
i also could not get up to 3200 and it was very difficult. right now im sitting at 2933 cl 16 18 18 38 or something like that and its pretty stable for me. not sure if i notice any difference tbhamihail91 likes this. -

I got this reply in the posted thread, hope it helps! -
Hmm - so you guys are saying go higher MHz speed an try to pull the CL down?
You're saying overclocking the MHz on the HyperX Impacts is impossible then? -
I overclocked my RAMs to 3192 with the same parameters shown in that post!
