The GS75 has the strongest cooling system out of all thin and light laptops (Gs, zephyrus, blade 15, aero) and even surpassing some medium sized ones like the blade 17 and M15R2.
And yes, you "could" use liquid metal but that'll be like intentionally spilling LM on your motherboard. It's far too risky. How are you going to make it stay in place when you put back the laptop?

I wouldn’t be able to but I’d be able to least set the laptop in a very very stable position on a desk and run tests while the back plate was off to see if I was getting performance gains within temperatures tolerances.

I'm not sure exactly how you'd go about doing that but before that make sure your blade is at least LMed on the gpu as well.
@ryzeki is using paste and temps are not good for him. -

You could prop and hold the laptop upside down with it running connected either to a monitor or viewing the screen remotely (with something like Chrome Remote Desktop) as long as the shunts would be facing me and not in the underside of the board.

Guys this result is crazy and it’s i think Blade 15. It’s impossible TB3 egpu setting since no way 2080ti surpasses 25K graphics score. Yeah nowaday 3Dmark is full of questions, is this some kind next level bios tweak

Its a glitched test, you can request a takedown of that score.
Just like those 100k+ cinebench r15 scores on a ryzen 3600Darkhan likes this. -

the top three on that class 2nd and 3rd place seems fine. Nowadays due this and that, like egpu bios tweaks, cross flashing, 3Dmark is not reliable source to compare performance anymore, they should make better filter.

Yes, I have the highest timespy score for i7-9750H and 2080 Max-q laptops but the top 4 spots are taken by an asshat running a 2080ti razer egpu.
-
I see, I had 2080ti with 8750H but yours is a lot better it’s due TB3 bandwidth limitation and penalty, especially on dx11 Firestrike it is a lot worse than dx12 Timespy, interesting though that he can beat you there’s always something new like it.

And I was feeling good about this one, sigh! -
What's wrong with it? It's a pretty good score

Maybe physic score it was around same with my 8750H, 10875 is like 20K right?

If you don't mind me asking. How well does your 4k 120hz screen on the Razer 17 scale to 1440p or lower for games? Very blurry or is it decent?

While I can't speak for this laptop specifically, using NVIDIA integer scaling at 1080p on a 4K display looks remarkably good, better than 1440p.alaskajoel and Darkhan like this. -
Honestly, I have not tried, I have been playing all games at 3840x2160 the screen is pretty amazing and I have not seen any issues, however I don't play a lot of competitive games that require high fps either. mostly red dead 2 and maneater.

So use the Nvidia drive to scale the 4k screen down to 1080p? -

Ok thank you. Was debating a Razer 17 pro 2020 but not sure of the 300hz quality screen. Not a fan of 4k but it is 120hz so I figured if it scaled down for games to get better frame rates (COD, BF) might be worth a shot.Darkhan likes this. -
Ye I play all the FPS but very little online, mostly campaign modes as I need to jump on calls with work often so it nice to pause, but those I played on my Area 51m but after playing on the new 4k screen, I honestly cant open the Alienware back up, looks so bland. Maybe with Cyberpunk I will try 1440?pathfindercod likes this.

I play what I feel is fairly competitively lol. I do use my machines for photo editing also. But when I play I need more than 40-70 FPS that most AAA games seem to run in 4K res.Darkhan likes this. -

Integer scaling is an option in the NVIDIA control panel. Once you've chosen it, set your games to 1080p, and you should be good to go. Do note, however, that the feature only works properly on perfectly scaled resolutions. Trying to use anything other than 1080p on a 4K display will result in black bars around the entire screen.alaskajoel and pathfindercod like this. -

Hi,
Can someone please send me the 190w vbios? giving this a try. Using the 100w currently and getting around 23900-24000 firestrike graphics score. Looking to try upping this. I did note that after trying to flash the Alienware 51m 190w vbios... the GPU was no longer recognized... i freaked out and flashed back to 100w one. Now i think about it, maybe i just needed to reinstall drivers.... but... hmmm ... i nver even checked device manager to see what the GPU was showing as. Might give this a whirl tonight. -
anybody got that RB17 3070 model yet? I'd love to flash that on my RB15 3070 for that sweet 100w power draw
