Keyboard and looks!! Call me shallow!

shallow....

This looks like it could be a "fun" thread. I'll give my top 2 reasons.
1) Best performance per cubic inch (as in it's small for what it does)
2) That screen! I haven't ever owned anything higher than 1920x1200, and years ago I gave up on that and went back to 1080p since it was easier to find. -
It's damn sexy and contains an 870m!
-
I have not bought one yet, but if reviews find that the fan noise is not crazy db level under gaming load it will be.
1. Weight
2. Fan noise level
Holding out hope.. -
I chose this over the GS60, reasons:
1. Screen
2. gtx 870m -
Screen as in the quality of it or Screen because of the resolution? If you choose the latter, then we'll see if you really need an 1800p on a 14" machine and if you can really handle it and be comfortable with it since 1080p is perfectly adequate for laptops and sometimes too tiny for under 15" laptops. People are complaining about the scaling issues with the Samsung Ativ 9 and Yoga 2 Pro 13 with its 1800p display because of scaling issues where most programs have to be used with a magnifying glass because they just don't support that high of a resolution and text and icons are super tiny.
I know I know you going to tell me you can downscale but that's not really a solution, so native resolution is still the way to go. -
Having used a retina MBP, I'm fine with that resolution...

Yeah but that's Mac OSX and not a Windows OS machine, even my Ipad Air is also Retina and im also fine with it because they actually use high resolution for sharper text/icons and less noise/pixilation with minor scaling issue. Now with Windows, they make it sharper with less noise/pixilation too but at the cost of super tiny icons and txt because a lot of windows programs are not compatible or have scaling issues.
Seeing the difference now? -
Well I can only speak from experience but I've been using a Fujitsu Q584 for the last two months which has a 2560 x 1600 10.1" screen and full Windows and I have yet to feel strained or limited in any way/shape/form. It is actually quite a beautiful display. But if you struggle with it then yes, the Razer Blade 2014 is probably not a good device for you, but thanks for feeling the need to warn everyone!
