I bought a barebone laptop, asked for UK Keyboard Layout and they shipped it to me with French one, right from the start they ****ed up. Now the keyboard itself actually had 6 keys that were not registering on top of being wrong Layout from what I ordered.

I of course installed components to test the system but upon seeing this keyboard problem I decided you know what it will cost me cheaper to just ship it back since they had 14 day return period and told them I wanted to change model .

They accepted my RMA but said since item was slightly used they cannot sell it as new and had to charge me 50€ for "cleaning" fees. I said alright, now ship me my new order which was cheaper than the previous one so it should still be within that refund minus cleaning fees budget.

Since then they rarely ever answer my emails, I even contacted them from a different email to see if they responded and they did within minutes but I'm yet to get a response to my main mail.

At this point I want to forget this and just my RMA money to order from a different company, Ican go through paypal but I fear they may side with the seller and give me like half refund or some sketchy thing like this so if anyone has any advice on how to succeed with this I would gladly appreciate

Where the hell did you bought it from? 50€ for cleaning fee? You just got ripped off..

How does a item show signs of usage after 2 or 3 days? Wtf

Never buy a Clevo laptop unless it was from a boutique shop like HIDevolution or XMG, one for having your back and giving you proper support and two for their added quality control and the ability to customize the laptop to your liking and most importantly to order one of the thermal upgrades to ensure the laptop doesn't overheat and serves you well for years. Re-sellers like HIDevolution for example offer life time tech support for any laptop that you buy from them.

XMG is not in the US, they cater to the European market. Not to mention that HIDevolution ships worldwide.

What I'm trying to say is that there are many choices. Not only those 2 resellers that I mentioned.

Until today we don't have received any response from customer about this case. He asked only about new chassis. What did you suppose to do when you sell new machine untouched with original packaging and you received back without this package and you must clean outside chassis and inside barebone everything because almoust is just dirty. Customer didn't inform our colleague about any issues with keyboard... So. We don't work for pleasure or for red cross. Work cost time and time is money

Kinda funny is that Clevocenter is not really an official Clevo seller but thye have an exclusivity contract with Prema, so they are almost the only store in the EU that can offer Clevos with Prema BIOS..
