Just to say first off, this is my first post and I hope I posted in the right place.

I'm trying to find the best price I can get for a Sager NP9170/ Clevo P170EM and I'm having some trouble doing so. If anyone knows a great reseller that gives great discounts or even that little bit off compared to other sites, I would be greatly appreciative.

So far all I have looked at is XoticPC and the sager's website.

Thanks! Also, if any specs or other info is needed than by all means ask!

Try LPC-Digital. I haven't ordered from them but Larry is very highly recommended here.

LPC Digital will have the lowest price. I took my time with all my research, got in contact with all the resellers, LPC had the lowest price by a fair margin. E-mail [email protected] with your build, and he will e-mail you back with a price.

Make sure you think of more then just price. See the RMA Question thread in the main Sager/Clevo forum for some food for thought.

And I think that point about dealing with the company that built your laptop whether being Sager or Mythlogic is just rubbish.

For some reason the guys that bark the loudest about situations like this are often the ones at some point or another - end up complaining about it.

Uh no. With over 10 years of using high performance laptops, I'm not worried in the least bit.

I just ordered my np9170 from xoticpc. They have been very helpful, answered all my questions and have some nice discounts. I have only heard good things about them and I feel that I can really trust them.

From someone who went XoticPC on their first Sager/Clevo and then paid for a mistake of not going with them on the second, I can honestly say I am very happy with XoticPC. Which is why my new one is coming once again from them. Their customer care is great and I will most likely buy from them as long as that does not change.

There are other good ones as well, which is obvious.

I was very satisfied with the first Asus G series notebook I purchased from XoticPC and I was able to chat with them inquiring about their Sager on their online chat, email and phone. XoticPC's sales dept is top notch.

    It's very simple.

Talk to the different resellers, and see who'll sell it to you cheapest.. :)

Since most retailers will price-match, just give them all each others offers until someone breaks and can't go lower.

    That's what I did.

    LPC didn't break :)

I've dealt with LPC-Digital and XoticPC and both have been great to deal with. It gets to the point where you're penny pinching and then just choose who you're most comfortable with. XoticPC is one of the more well known and well staffed resellers with an awesome website. LPC-Digital is a two man show (that I understand) but are typically able to offer better pricing usually. Both LPC and Xotic deal directly with Sager, and can fight that battle for you should you ever need your system serviced.

If you want a company that is hands on with the product a lot more, then Mythlogic is the way to go. I haven't purchased a system from them but have been to their store a few times now, bought an LCD from them, and they build and fix systems themselves. They tend to cost a bit more, but you also get personal service and can usually talk to the guy that's actually servicing your machine.

There are other resellers/builders but I can't speak from personal experience. I would recommend from one of those three.
