    Hi all,

I'm planning to buy laptop for college and is looking at the Sager NP8652/ Clevo P650SG for a price of about $1600. I originally planed to buy it on Xotic PC, but in the payment option it states that they only accept credit cards from U.S and Canada banks. Now, I'm an international student and is currently studying high school in the U.S . I do have a U.S bank account, but my parents can not transfer $1600 into it (the U.S Custom only allows international student to received a limit amount of money in their U.S bank account, and we have already reached that limit). So my only option is to buy the laptop using a Visa credit card that is from a non-U.S/Canada bank.

My alternative option is to buy it on Amazon. However, the only reseller that has the Clevo P650SG for about $1600 on Amazon is Prostar. I've saw a lot of controversial things about Prostar. Furthermore, I plan to use this laptop throughout college, so I really want a reseller that is supportive and that I can have easy access to in case something comes up. So my questions are:

    1. Should I buy the Clevo P650SG from Prostar through Amazon? Or should just look at another laptop that I can easily buy? Also, my budget is $1600 max.

    2. Is Prostar a reliable reseller? How is their customer service?

TL,DR: Should I buy a $1600 Clevo laptop from a relatively small reseller through Amazon with some risks involved? Or buy a another laptop through a big reseller? Also I can only use non-US/Canada Visa card.

    Thank you.

If it means anything to you, we have outstanding reviews on resellerratings.com and have high marks with the BBB. We've also been around for over 20 years (selling on Amazon is a much more recent venture).

You can get an idea of our customer support by contacting us, whether it be by PM here, emailing us, or by phone. Everyone's mileage varies, but we do our best. :)
