Hello, I have recently ordered an ASUS-GL702VS.
I realize it's not a sager or clevo, however, there is not a proper section for reseller reviews in the Asus forum.
Having never heard of HIDEvolution before, I was a bit apprehensive of purchasing a gaming laptop from them. I have read other people's reviews prior to purchasing, and I figured I would detail my experience with them so far.
Around 8:30am CMT on Saturday, October 28th, I placed my order with HIDEvolution.
Over the weekend, I had begun to wonder if I had made the right choice shopping with HIDEvolution.
I got so worried that I contacted their support team Monday morning, October 30th. I talked with a Mr. Donald S.
He was very nice and told me about normal build times being about 7 -12 days. He asked if I would like to pay extra for a rush build (5 business days), and I agreed to pay if it would help with the timing.
After I payed a separate invoice, my order status immediately changed from processing to pre-production.
My order status stayed at Pre-production for the rest of the week. I did remember Donald replying to another post by saying techs are sometimes so busy they can forget to update an order status, but it kills me to wait on a company I am unsure about, so Friday, November 3rd, I sent an email asking if this might have happened with my order.
As of 12pm, November 6th, my order status has changed to "In Production".
Everything seems to be going well so far.
Four hours later, my order was awaiting shipment.
By 7:30pm, my order had shipped.
As of Friday Nov 10, I have received my laptop from FedEx.
First impressions: I really like the build quality, with the exception of the lack of decent sized ventilation.
My last gaming laptop was a Msi dominator pro, so this is a bit different.
So far, my only complaint would be the HORRIBLE light bleed.
It's not my first built to order but I have never had a screen that bleeds this much (and I have never paid extra for less bleeding from other resellers).
I was definitely expecting a couple quarter sized spots across the screen. What I got was those few quarter sized spots, plus the whole top-right quadrant, and a good sized one on the top-left. It's quite discouraging. I will upload a picture soon if I can.
I will update as anything new occurs.

I've ordered three laptops from HID, and all of them were in pre-production status for more than week before they were put together and shipped. Don't worry, you're in good hands.

Also, since you're now an HIDevolution Gaming Team Member. Let me know if you want me to help you tweak your laptop over TeamViewer once you get it. These are the tweaks I do:
1- Uninstallation of all the Windows Store Garbage Apps
2- Removing all Windows 10 Privacy Invasion stuff like Telemetry, sending your keystrokes to Microsoft, automatically installing suggested apps in the background, allowing Microsoft to conduct experiments on your laptop, disabling automatic driver updates through Windows updates, disabling Windows 10 ads, disabling cortana, etc.
3- Removal of nVIDIA and Intel Telemetry
4- Adjusting a lot of options in PC Settings like disabling Windows Tablet Mode (you have a laptop not a tablet), disabling suggestions appearing in the start menu, disabling automatically connecting to Paid WiFi Hotspots, disabling Game DVR which reduced performance in games, and a lot more.
5- Replacing Cortana with a much better search tool that finds results instantly
6- Restoring the classic Windows 7 Calculator and Windows Photo Viewer
7- Restoring the Classic Windows 7 Start Menu
8- Turning off smart multi-homed DNS name resolution in Windows which may lead to DNS Leakage when using a VPN (must have Windows 10 Pro for disabling it as it can only be disabled via the Group Policy Editor)

It's par for the course, no worries, I'm sure FedEx has it by now.
You can check my post from a few weeks ago for a "timeline" of production... I think my P650 was built and tested in under two minutes
