Right, so I ordered a 3 year Global Warranty with my Clevo P870DM-G that I purchased from HIDevolution and what the global warranty entitles me for is, in the event of something bad happening to my system that requires me to ship the unit to them, they would pay the shipping charges back and forth and since I live in Dubai, that means it's a pretty expensive shipment to start off with.
Now unfortunately, my P870DM-G's Insert/Scroll Lock Key on the top right next to the DEL key popped out after hitting it lightly a few times, mind you I have very soft girly hands so I didn't like abuse it or anything.
So they sent me a key the other day without me even paying for the shipping cost which is very generous. That key though has the same issue, I fitted it properly but if I would press it like 10 times it would just pop out again.
So now they are sending me a full keyboard again and preparing a step by step video on how I should do the keyboard swap! The cherry on the topping though it, they informed me that these 2 free shipments are not counted from the free shipments that I have on my warranty and that I am still entitled for the 2 free shipments of the unit should the need arise in the future!
So not only was my whole ordering and online build great, but their warranty is awesome as well. They even sent me the key and keyboard this time within a couple of hours of me reporting it I had my FedEx tracking number!

I emailed Eurocom telling them that I have Prema BIOS v1.3 but now there is a Prema BIOS 1.5 so they can send it to me 4 days ago and still no reply. Very slow communication on their part.
I then emailed HIDevolution who were the ones to order the Sky X9 for me through Eurocom expressing my disappointment and got a reply within 1 hour telling me that my email has been sent to their contacts at Eurocom and will be dealt with in an expedited manner!
It's awesome when you have a reseller to back you up. It's all these small things that count after buying a system. -

Eurocom has replied to HIDevolution within minutes! Heh! So they are ignoring my emails!
They told them that I have the latest Prema BIOS 1.3 and the new one will only be out by April. This is BS. I know 1.5 is available! They are just too busy to handle their customers. -
To stick within the forum rules, I'm not commenting on any individual company here - just explaining that it is the responsibility of a reseller to support their customers as the first and primary point of contact. It's great that you have such a good experience with your reseller, but when a reseller sells a product then they also take up the responsibility of the primary contact in most cases

so you bought your system from HIDevolution but they didn't give it to you? or do they need you to send in the unit for the upgrade? that's understandable though for protection of it not being leaked.
Even Mythologic wouldn't end the BIOS to a friend of mine here in Dubai despite him having a Mythlogic Phobos -

But then again, i have no issues with agreeing with their terms and conditions or whatever. Whats preventing me uploading the BIOS right now? I know everyone has trust issues, but come on i am a honest person (obviously they will have their reservations), who works in an industry which takes insane loses because of piracy/dishonesty. -

What scares me is the amount of people who have this BIOS now. I wish noone leaks it. I am a very honest person and always keep my word. I hope everyone does the same because it wouldn't be fair to Prema or the partners.Papusan and i_pk_pjers_i like this. -
Exactly. Im not asking them to trust just about anyone. Unless its a golden egg laying ostrich. That is also the reason why im not holding it agasint them for not giving me the BIOS. I know from all the reading i had to do just to unlock the stock BIOS , that Prema's BIOS has some insane amount of work put into it.

We can't prevent that from happening but all BIOS are uniquely signed so it would be easy to trace it back to the source of the leak...

True. But is there any way to lock them to a certain system ? Im sure they are already encrypted to prevent editing, but something to prevent installation on someone elses system.Papusan likes this.

Sure we could even make another system brick if they use it...but TBH I am not that guy! This is to help others not make them unhappy!

Totally understand that, maybe i just feel a little too strongly about this. I work on special effects for movies and stuff, we spend months working on a single effect, but the day the movie comes out and you see some idiot made a video recording and uploaded it online, and then the next day at work you realize that the sales projections were off because of piracy, it saddens you a lot.
Same thing with your work, not many people out there can do it, and it is a lot of time and effort spent. Most people appreciate that, but it takes only one.
But hey, almost all of us here owe it to you for making our systems the best out there.i_pk_pjers_i, Papusan and Prema like this.
