Hello everyone,
I'm considering ordering a Sager from one of the many resellers that offer them. I live in Ontario and I've been directed to Reflex Notebook because it is probably the cheapest since it includes brokerage\shipping fees. Although I am open to ordering from Xotic PC\Mythlogic. I can't find any threads detailing people's experiences with the support of these resellers AFTER they order a laptop, and have an issue when they RECEIVE it and have to send it back or get an additional part sent to them. I've sent a couple of PMs asking how long does shipping take normally, can I change parts out myself or do I have to send you my laptop if I have a critical error, etc etc.
Anyways, I'm just wondering if people are satisfied with the support they receive if they have a defunct laptop and need to send it back.
Thanks for any input.

For Sager computers ordered from the states, customers from Canada you do have to pay for shipping in but shipping back to you is covered. Many resellers also offer a special warranty add on that will cover all shipping costs for warranty repair for Canadian customers.
Depending on the part we have just allow sending in the individual part so you're not without the computer plus it saves on shipping costs. -
While I can't speak to fees and shipping to Canada, one of the reasons I chose Mythlogic was the fact that they are the builder themselves. I figured I'd rather cut out the reseller and go straight to the source.
I haven't had to actually use the support yet since I just ordered, but I'm sure there are others on the forums who have. Anyway, Mythlogic is in Michigan... that might help you on shipping cost and wait time! -
I went with Malibal, they covered my shipping to their RMA depot in Ontario. For me, the Canadian warranty was one of the distinguishable differences between resellers.

If you order from one of Sager's resellers, you will deal with Sager directly when service is required. So you do not hear too much about indiviual case on warranty handling. (If you buy from us, we will be the one handling the warranty service, not Sager. Please do not get confused.)
The next thing you need to worry is the repair time. Sager and Prostar usually take 3 to 5 working days to repair. Some other companies may take much longer time. Make sure you double confirm the repair schedule. -
I ordered my laptop from Reflex Notebook and got a defective unit on arrival which needed to be sent back.
It took more or less than a week for the whole pickup process, and then a little more than 3 weeks before I got my unit back (and still broken).
So make it about a month or so without a computer.
I will be posting an honest review soon about my whole experience. -

How long does shipping take when your laptop needs to be sent for repair?
