    Hi.
First of all, sorry if this kind of posted is not allowed here, but I din't see any rule saying otherwise.

I'm looking for a AVADirect customer feedback to tell us his experience with them.

I'm thinking a lot and really considering on buying a P775DM3 from them, mainly because of their great deal with GTX 1080 and also because they offer all the extra hardware parts at reasonable price that I would have to buy apart when ordering from other resellers.

I'm being really careful before making my order, because I'll have to make a 1 time wire transfer and receive my laptop in a hotel room while I'm on a trip to US.

If any of you didn't have an experience with AVADirect but have opinion, fell free to share it.

    Thanks.

They are actually based out of Ohio. Definitely are a legit company, I know a few people who debated buying from them, but not too many that have unfortunately.

I doubt you'll have trouble getting your order, but I can't say much about their after sales support.

    I will say @Phoenix @hmscott @Mobius 1 what is up with their 1080? It's like 200 less than a 1070 for some promotion. That's incredible...

    2200 for a 7700k, 1080, 1440p 120Hz display, 16GB of ram, 256GB ssd and 1TB hdd.

    Yeah, that's gotta be a typo :)

    From a 1060 to upgrade to a 1080 is $96 right now:
    GEFORCE GTX 1080 8GB GDDR5X W/ G-SYNC [VR-READY] (+$96)

    From a 1060 to a 1070 is $243
    GEFORCE GTX 1070 8GB GDDR5 W/ G-SYNC [VR-READY] (+$243)

Most likely those numbers are reversed, or totally wrong, I'd ask their support before configuring - double check the rest of the numbers with them too :)

I suppose. I feel like they don't normally do that. I did watch them when Pascal launched. They were fast and accurate.

    Obviously double check though.

I'm already in touch with Sean from AVADirect and still waiting his response after I sent my quote with the GTX1080.

Seems like promotion, I'd still take the offer for that low of a price.

I thought that Promo icon might be it too, but hover over it and it's the usual Nvidia GPU game promo.

That wouldn't make much sense though, they would be like $300 more expensive than everyone else then.

Whatever is going on, if you want to take advantage of the price difference I suggest you do it quickly.

Or use it to your advantage on other sites who do pricematch like xotic pc.

I sent my quote to Sean, from AVADirect, to check if all parts are in stock and he didn't see anything wrong.
Just to make sure that I don't have a surprise after I pay, now I specifically questioned him about the GTX 1080 price to check if it's right.

I'll post his answer here as soon as he reply.

It's not a typo it seems. A friend of mine just purchased the barebones version of the P775DM3 (7700K/1080/120hz 1440p panel) for $1965.84 from them and it's already in phase 2. I'm going to delid the processor plus repaste when he gets it, so if there is any "funny business" going on, I'll let you guys know. I pushed him to get it and return the MSI GT73VR 6RF he recently purchased.

Yes but no Prema BIOS, unfortunately. Even if the unit itself is great, it's going to be bogged down by crappy bios/ec. The price is unbelievable though. It is priced way under ANY GTX 1080 laptop currently.

I did email them about the possibility of them trying to partner with Prema, got an email back from Joseph and I quote

"I can't say much, on the subject, but this is definitely a great idea, and something we will consider. :)"

Though this could just be sales people talk so I suggest taking it with a grain of salt.

We contacted AVAdirect about the low price of the GTX 1080 and they said that it was a typo.

Yep, they fixed it. But I still have no answer from Sean about my quote. Lets see what they can do as I already quoted with that price.

No. Buy from a Prema partner if you want to get the BIOS. I personally returned my P870DM3 with 1080's SLI from Sager due to me not being able to get the BIOS.

Rather take a full tablespoon of salt. Just sweet, sweet sales talk.

Avadirect fixed the typo, and it was a big one, it went from +$96 to upgrade to a 1080 from a 1060, and is now +$665:
    • GEFORCE GTX 1060 6GB GDDR5 W/ G-SYNC [VR-READY]
    • GEFORCE GTX 1070 8GB GDDR5 W/ G-SYNC [VR-READY] (+$243)
    • GEFORCE GTX 1080 8GB GDDR5X W/ G-SYNC [VR-READY] (+$665) Recommended

They will be real a**hats if they were to cancel the order. I will keep a very close watch on it and hopefully they do the right thing and go ahead with it.

I have like 6 or 7 quotes with that low 1080 price, and I'm in talks right now with Kyle from AVA about finalizing one of them. Just hashing out the SSD option as they were short of the 500GB 960EVO's.
Let's see how that goes in the morning...

I am now taking over my friend's purchase. He's sweating about the branding "No one has ever heard of AVA or Clevo." Instead he is picking up an Alienware for $2800 and I'm getting a P775DM3 at an amazing price.

Well, Sean from AVA apparently is ignoring me. It's been 2 days with no response from him. And every question I make it takes 1+ entire day to reply. I think he is trying to make me tired so I don't finalize the order. Really sad, they are just losing a customer.
