@bloodhawk @Mr. Fox @Papusan
These guys never stop to surprise me.
3 weeks ago Mr. Papusan told us that G.Skill now has a 3000 MHz. Kit coming soon.
So I searched on newegg but I couldn't find it for sale.
I then contacted HIDevolution to ask them about it and was told that it will be available for sale in May.
a few weeks passed and I totally forgot about it......
Today I was contacted by HIDevolution telling me that the 3000 MHz. RAM will be available starting from Monday and I will be the first one to have it!
Really surprised that they actually take everything so seriously and kept a tab on my old request and let me know the moment it was available.

I sent them an email just now asking about the price. I'll let you know brah.bloodhawk likes this. -
Let me know, too.

@bloodhawk @Mr. Fox
Ted just got back to me, he said they are getting 10x 16GB pieces on Monday.
4 of those go to me so they will have 6 left only for now.
The availability is very limited as we speak they don't know when will they receive the next shipment.
They have not allowed me to advertise the pricing though and asked to contact them via e-mail for inquiries about the price:

I'll just wait and get some later maybe. Thanks, though. I am eager to see how it performs.

offcourse, I will show you the benchmarks next week! Can't wait! -

@Mr. Fox I see you only have 16GB, so if you don't need 64GB, then they will have 2 extra sticks left for sale if you wanna email them to book them
-
Thanks. I just emailed @Ted@HIDevolution to find out about them. I don't need 64GB.
-
KK love you bebe.
Yeah just gave him a call, ill probably end up getting 2 x 16Gb sticks. Quote san is on the way. Darn you dude, right when i thought i was done spending more money on this system.
Would suggest giving him a call. He can go ahead and send you a quote for the same.Papusan and Spartan@HIDevolution like this. -

how can any performance enthusiast resist the temptation of a stock 3000 MHz RAM?

Sure thing let me know. Ill finish my move to LA this week end. Gonna miss SF
LOL True, but all i do with my system is CUDA stuff and renders (which use the processor) -

Little teaser for you. The RAM has arrived earlier than expected. They were supposed to be delivered on Monday to HIDevolution but they just got them and Vivian their head of tech support is teasing me

HIDevolution continue to make me happy every time I deal with them. They under promise and over deliver.
First they said that they will receive the RAM on Monday so hopefully I should get it by next week.
They received it earlier today, tested that it's working and guess what? I already have the tracking number as they shipped it ASAP so I should have it by Sunday or Monday!
And people wonder why I keep recommending them everywhere
-
Got my tracking number, too. I will be out of town next week on business, so I selected the el cheapo snail mail shipping option.TomJGX, Spartan@HIDevolution and bloodhawk like this.

whoa! you too?? That is some snappy service man!!
PS: In my experience, USPS is horrible, I never received anything that was shipped through them and ended up getting a refund. I use a freight forwarding address for US purchases. I hope you get luckier than I did. -
USPS is fine in the USA as long as you don't go normal 'First Class' mail. Priority Mail with a tracking number and delivery confirmation has never let me down. I do prefer FedEx, UPS and DHL, but sometimes they charge more than the price of the product being shipped. I'm pretty sure government run mail service (and everything else run by the government) sucks in every country.bloodhawk likes this.

yeah seems like USPS is fine in the US but for international shipments, they are horrible
Like I used to have a tracking number, then for like 2 weeks the status wouldn't even change. Then when I contact them they either say it was lost or confiscated by customs
-
LOL when i need to send something to India to my Dad, i just send it to his office, and since it under the Ministry of Home Affairs they never charge any customs and make sure it delivered on time. Specially if its come from USPS.Spartan@HIDevolution likes this.

So when are you receiving your chips bro? -
Tomorrow! Brother @Ted@HIDevolution is sending them overnight to me. Amazing!
Plus the baby monster beast from @danyune is also arriving tomorrow. Too much excitement right now, LOL. It really sucks that I have to go out of town next week. Wish I could stay home and tinker with all of this awesome stuff.danyune and Spartan@HIDevolution like this. -

huh? How come you are getting them before me when you said when you opted for the slowest USPS delivery option?

Well he did say Ted is sending them overnight for him, so I assume that's why

It works nice, guys. Default RAM SPD is 2666 and XMP Profile #2 is 3000. Thanks @Phoenix and @Ted@HIDevolution
Brother Ted rocks.
Edit: I see the SPD is programmed to 2400 by default. It was running 2666 when I first installed the modules, so I am assuming it liked my manual BIOS settings for 2666 and used them. Profile #1 is DDR4-3000 CL16 and Profile #2 is CL18.

Nice! Do you know how much effect this will have on the Physics Benchmarks?
Cant wait to get mine, just hope i can get out early from work on Monday or Tuesday, they are literally a 20 min drive away. -
Still need to do more testing, but at first blush it seems to have improved a bit.
TomJGX, Ted@HIDevolution and bloodhawk like this. -
If possible and if you have the time can you do a FireStrike Physics test?Mr. Fox likes this.
-
Yes, I'll do that.
XMP Profile #1 is also DDR4-3000 with CL16 versus CL18 for XMP Profile #2. Memory speed sees a small increase, cache speed a minor decrease and no meaningful change in 3DMark 11 physics test.

With my current 2800 MHZ RAM if I set it to XMP Profile 2 it immediately changes to XMP profile 1 how did you make it stick? Also. CL16 is faster right? -
That's CAS value at 16 , CL16 Would usually mean 16 across the board on CAS RCD RP.
CAS 16 is definitely a bit better, but not by too much as you see in the screenshots. -

A little bit. Not enough to make much difference, but all it takes is one point to mean the difference between first and second place. Like Ricky Bobby says, "If you're not first, you're last" LOL.
Your current RAM may not have two profiles. When it automatically flips like that it generally means the profile is not programmed. My HyperX Impact sticks only have a Profile #1 and it automatically changes like you are describing.

Got my 3000 MHz. RAM today, talk about fast shipping / delivery.
Mr. Fox, as with my previous 2800 MHz. RAM, the moment I choose XMP Profile 2 it goes back to XMP Profile 1 instantly...
Here are the timings and benchmark, much faster than the 2800 MHz RAM:
