Hi guys, so after 4 months of torturing myself and visiting these forums every day, I finally pulled the trigger on the Sky mx5 r2 from Eurocom! This is equivalent to the Sager np8153/ clevo p650rs-G for anyone curious. I'm also Canadian so that was my rationale behind choosing Eurocom, their student discount plus ease of returning/RMA would be much easier than choosing an international seller such as a company in the US.

My main purpose for purchase is for mostly gaming but also doing software development.

I have not yet actually received the laptop but I will be posting updates and edits throughout the process.

Alright, so before just for anyone who would like to know, here are the specs!

    Base: Eurocom Sky mx5 r2
    Screen: FHD 1920x1080; 60Hz; Matte; IPS; W/ G-sync
    Graphics Card: Nvidia GTX 1070
    CPU: Intel 6700 HQ
    RAM: HyperX Impact - 2,400Mhz CAS 14 DDR4 SODIMM 2 x 8GB
    OS: Windows 10 Pro
    SSD: 250 GB
    HDD: 1 TB Seagate
    Wifi: intel 8265

As for the process, thus far, has been flawless.

I messaged Eurocom a few months ago about some inquiries about purchasing the product, and they were by far the fastest company to reply to me. All other companies took a few days to reply to me, whereas Eurocom was within an hour at the very latest. They were professional and courteous with all my several questions.

Also dealing with @woodzstack has been an absolute blast. This guy is a pro and knows his ****! Purchasing this product is no small financial investment, but he will walk you through it guaranteed. If you're purchasing a product of this magnitude, you best expect to get the best out of it, and woodz will definitely do that for you. He offers services as well as parts, but please speak with him about more in depth services :)

Anyways, here is the timeline of events that I will be updating:

May 8 2017: Spend an hour or so with @woodzstack on discord meticulously about the right parts and services that would guarantee me having the best product.

May 9 2017: Nervously press the submit order button and be hella excited

May 9 2017: ~10 minutes later: get a confirmation that my order went through (used a Credit Card if that matters)

May 10 2017: Starting this review while I wait for this beast to come through!

Update #1 - May 11 2017 ~4 pm est: Got my tracking number and is already apparently out to @woodzstack by Friday??? Damn this exciting

Update #2 - May 12 2017 ~5pm est: The laptop has now arrived to @woodzstack! He's going to work his magic pending a HDD he ordered.

Update #3 - May 15 2017: HDD has come in, time for @woodzstack to work his magic. Upon initial opening, Looked like it was QA tested before reaching him as he saw that there was some replacement of possibly the motherboard. He mentioned that otherwise it's fine, and is pending testing, will update soon!

Update #4 - May 16 2017: @woodzstack has shown me some benchmarks after working his magic, and it is all set for take off to me! Payment has been received on his part, tracking number officially sent to me! Super excited, should arrive in 1 or 2 days at most!

Final Update - May 18 2017: Finally received the system! After a bit 4 hours of tweaks and going nuts, I have finally fixed it to my liking and am now going to spend my night playing on this beast :D

That's all I have for now, and I'm probably missing some info but I will update and would love to answer any questions in the meantime before this thing comes to me finally!

Nice updates, I can't wait for you to have this laptop.

I would also like to add special thanks to @d2ultima for letting me know what the norm was and what to expect undervolting (truly knew to it, and odd how these new laptops behave when you undervolt - i.e they still use same amount of power, and had to limit current, yet all in all, performance actually increases too. Would love to share my findings)
