    BTW, I strongly suggest that you call them and switch from the 3000 MHz G.Skill RAM to the 2800 MHz ones. They are much more stable.

    The problem is the new batch of 3000 MHz RAM is not very stable like the first batch which I had before. Trust me on this

    Use this utility. It downloads and installs CCC without the XTU components and can also help keep the rest of your drivers up to date.

    just look in your taskbar, if you don't see the CPU OC ison then you don't have XTU

    also, download Autoruns and run autoruns64.exe , then in the filter on the top left, type XTU and see if you find any XTU related entries

    yes you can do that, after installing the CCC via the Obsidian tool, if you still notice that your fans are spinning up randomly for no reason, an NVRAM reset will fix that then since you don't have the built in XTU anymore

    The weird thing is, the OC icon is still there, after an installation of ccc from obsidian tool. I coulnd't find XTU from the autorun program though. Am I safe? :)
