I fell in love with this laptop over a year and a half ago, and I just had to get it. It was the perfect size, had the specs I wanted with adequate cooling, and had well-placed peripherals. It took me awhile to save up enough money, but I think it was worth it.
October - Contacted HID for the first time trying to get a feel for what the different options were so I could determine a value/price ratio I would be comfortable with. Spent about an hour on the phone with @Ted@HIDevolution.
November - Sent a few emails back and forth feeling out payment methods (I was in China and had money in the local currency).
December - Placed an order and managed to get currency transferred to USD.
Early January - Payment Review complete. I mention I will be in the US in Februrary and will need the laptop in a very specific timeframe. Ted assures me they can do it. A week later, I ask if the RTX cards will be available and ask if they would have them in time. They are not sure, but say they will let me know.
Late January - They get the RTX cards and do R&D. They tell me that the RTX card does not offer much improvement over the old GTX cards and that the GTX-sli actually does better. Also, the RTX card is not covered under their traditional warranty, so I would have to pay for an additional (very expensive) one if I want it.
Early February - I decide the cost of the new one is too much for the performance, especially considering it plus the warranty, so I decide to go with the old 1080 combo.

All-in-all, I'm very happy with it. Haven't even come close to maxing it yet, and even though it's very heavy for a laptop, the bottom doesn't even get warm on my lap when gaming - the fans and cooling are that good. The speakers are amazing too - I keep them at 40/100 or below or they are too loud! I can hear the bass, and there's an audible difference between studio-produced music and normal music uploads - on my old laptop I couldn't tell the difference without headphones.
Had a weird issue where Windows wasn't giving the right names, but @Zoltan@HIDevolution helped me figure out which was the Pro and the EVO.
The backpack is great, fits the laptop without looking like a laptop bag, and distributes the weight so well so it feels lighter than my old laptop even though it weighs twice as much.
Great experience with HIDevolution and definitely recommend them - they focus on what you need and want, without trying to upsell you, while also making sure they meet your requirements and budget. I probably spent 2 hours talking with them pre-order, and another 1-2 hours after paying with questions/changes and never felt like they weren't willing to help out. Thanks guys!

I'm curious what temps are like with the 9900K at 4.7 all core. I had to set my 8700K down to 4.5 all core to keep temps max at 80ish during stability tests.
